108 award-winning works by local students displayed at Polk Museum

LAKELAND – They are 108 of the best Polk County middle and high school art students, and their works are currently on display at the Polk Museum of Art.

For the second year, the Polk Museum of Art is hosting an exhibition of the nationally renowned annual Scholastic Art and Writing Awards for the Polk County Art Region.

The Scholastic Awards, now in its 99th year, invited public, private and homeschool students last fall to submit their original works produced across all media for a chance to have their work recognized in the nation’s longest-running and most prestigious scholarship and recognition program.
