Adrian Board of Education selects Sam Skeels as high school principal

ADRIAN — New leadership will be in place at Adrian High School for the beginning of the 2022-23 school year, now that Sam Skeels has officially been named the new Adrian High School principal.

Skeels’ appointment to the leadership role was unanimously approved by the Adrian Public Schools Board of Education during its meeting Monday, despite absences from vice president Jon Baucher, secretary Mike Buku and trustee Rudy Flores.

Superintendent Nate Parker shook hands with Skeels and congratulated him for being promoted to high school principal. Skeels has been principal at Lincoln Elementary School for more than 10 years. He previously was an assistant principal at Springbrook Middle School and a physical education instructor for the district before becoming principal at Lincoln. He holds a specialist’s degree in educational leadership from Siena Heights University, where he also received his bachelor’s degree. He has a master’s degree in teaching from Marygrove College.
